Trump Orders Declassification of Government Files on Aliens and UFOs
US President Donald Trump has directed the Department of Defense and other federal agencies to identify and release all government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, as well as unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) and UFOs. The announcement was made via a post on Truth Social, where Trump cited the “tremendous public interest” in the subject.
The order calls for the release of documents on UAPs and UFOs, along with “any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters,” according to the president’s statement.
The move follows remarks made by former President Barack Obama on a podcast, in which he stated that aliens “are real.” The comments quickly went viral, sparking widespread debate. Obama later clarified on Instagram that he saw no evidence of extraterrestrial contact during his presidency, and that his belief in alien life stems primarily from statistical probability — given the sheer vastness of the universe, the odds favor life existing elsewhere.
Trump accused Obama of leaking classified information and suggested he might resolve the situation by declassifying the relevant documents himself.
It’s worth noting that, according to a 2024 Pentagon report, no government investigation has so far confirmed the existence of extraterrestrial beings, their activity, or technology on Earth.
